Up for auction is a lovely set of faux bone carved clam shell dioramas. The 1st one is a scene of a couple in front of their home which is situated beside a stream of water with a large water wheel [actually turns] and their boat at the front. Unfortunately the top lid is missing but the rest seems to be intact. It is footed underneath which gives it a raised look. The 2nd is completely intact and is a scene of three bears by a stream catching/eating fish with some trees in the background. The top of this diorama has a carved pagoda with a bridge over water with mountains in the background. Again this is also footed to raise it up so it shows better. The measurements are 2.75 ins for each across by 1.5ins for the 1st scene and 2 ins high for the scene with the bears. I am uncertain of the age of these pieces but they are certainly unique, especially the scene of the bears. I hope the images do them justice. Please contact me if you have any questions. You are bidding on the set of two.
